On Tuesday, Washington talked to a restaurant employee who asked not to be identified. She said there are a number of issues at the restaurant and the collapse didn’t surprise her.
“These pipes that fell and hit all these people were filled with water because they rusted out and they were rotting away,” she said.
Washington spoke with the manager, who said an inspector came out and checked the structure.
The inspector cleared the restaurant and it is now back open for business.
What caused the initial collapse is unclear.
