ATLANTA — From a formal graduation ceremony to the prom, metro area high school seniors are missing out on so much this spring. But their administrators and teachers want them to know they're loved.
Graduating seniors at Woodward Academy received a special surprise this morning.
They didn’t know it was coming. All 257 graduating seniors were in for a treat.

Teachers loaded school buses with specially made signs each featuring the name of a student and a laundry bag, which they’ll need at college, filled with homemade cookies.
“We do really love and appreciate them. We want this to be memorable for them--beyond having to stay at home," school president Stuart Gulley said.

The bus drivers then rolled to all of the seniors’ homes so the Gulley could hand-deliver the surprises.
"Today I was trying not to cry. But this made my day. It made me really happy,” said graduating senior Izzy Wheeler.
Considering how the last several weeks of the school year had to be because of everything that’s going on, the class of 2020 deserves a little extra love.
“It was the best years of my life so far, and it really helped me be the person I am today. It was really cool. Very fun. A good way to end this last day," senior McCoy Pace said.
