FULTON COUNTY, Ga — It has been a year since the Georgia Department of Transportation rejected a bid for the Georgia 400 toll project, but now it is back on track.
The project calls for two toll lanes in each direction on GA 400, from the North Springs MARTA station in north Fulton County to McGinnis Ferry Rd.

It will also add one lane in each direction from McGinnis Ferry Rd. to McFarland Parkway in Forsyth County.
Georgia DOT plans to issue a request for proposals from road building companies next month.

The bids are due next summer and Georgia DOT could award the contract by August 2023.
The project is set to include transit and MARTA is also considering a bus rapid transit line from North Springs to Alpharetta.
