Woolfolk told Holloway that detectives also found 2 hand guns in the car.

“It was a very robust scene. There are several items of ballistic evidentiary value. So it took us quite some time to get the scene processed,” Woolfolk said.

Police shut down all lanes as they investigated.

Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields first reported the shooting investigation on Channel 2 Action News This Morning as delays backed up for miles.

Shields said the lanes reopened around 7:40 a.m.

Police are investigating another double shooting they said is connected to the shooting on I-75/I-85.

APD said that around 10:30 a.m. they were called to a man shot on 7th Street and another nearby on Cleveland Avenue. Officers said that the man on 7th street was shot during an argument, and another man on Cleveland Avenue was hit during the shooting. Both men were transported to a hospital.

Police have not said how the later shooting was related to the shooting on I-75/I-85.
