Missing 6-week-old twins found, woman arrested after shooting in Savannah, police say

Amber Alert issued for twins in Savannah Police are searching for a woman who may be involved

SAVANNAH, Ga. — UPDATE: The twins were found safe and the suspect was taken into custody.

Police are searching for twin babies that were taken after a shooting in Savannah.

According to Savannah police, officers were called to a shooting on 36th Street where a woman was shot. Twins Matto and Lorenzo, who are 6-weeks-old, were taken from the home following the shooting by a woman, who is possibly named Kathleen.

The shooting victim is being treated for serious injuries.

The suspect may be traveling a white sedan, possibly a Kia Optima. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
