Freer and her husband attended Janet Jackson’s concert downtown on Wednesday night. They navigated parking problems.
In the crowd, we saw increased Atlanta police presence. Officers warn people parking to leave all valuables at home, especially guns, to prevent them from falling into the hands of a criminal.
Police said if you did not pay for parking, use MARTA to get downtown to help ease traffic congestion.
MARTA said it is providing extra trains and officers to handle the crowds. Teams will also be on the platforms to help people get off and on the trains quickly.
Keep in mind the concert collision could cause problems at hotels.
That’s because Janet Jackson had to move to Friday when Swift fans already expected to need rooms that day and may have booked ahead of time.
