BUTTS COUNTY, Ga. — The Butts County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a man with a gun they say tried to get into a nursing home, and multiple vehicles parked outside, early on New Year’s Day.
According to the sheriff’s office, the man was walking around the Westbury Nursing Home in Jackson, Ga. around 2 a.m. on Jan. 1 while holding a pistol grip shotgun.
The sheriff’s office said the man tried to enter the nursing home as well as multiple vehicles.
Now, the Butts County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Jackson Police Department, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and FBI to learn more about the situation.

A reward of $1,000 is being offered for any information that successfully identifies him, according to the sheriff’s office.
