NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Sandy Springs police say a man is in custody after he crashed into police cars during a chase on Georgia 400 near Interstate 285.
A department spokesman said Sandy Springs police were assisting Atlanta police with trying to take a shooting suspect into custody.
As police attempted to stop the suspect on 400 SB near Hammond Drive, he collided with two patrol cars that were trying to box them in, according to officers.
Dashcam video released by Sandy Springs Police shows the suspect, identified later as Ibisa Durr, get out of the car and throw something before he is tackled to the ground by police.

The officers had minor injuries. One of the cars had a K-9 inside, but the dog was not injured during the crash.
Channel 2 Action News learned the suspect is also a rapper known as Paperlovee.
Police told Channel 2′s Audrey Washington that he will face charges in both Atlanta and Sandy Springs.
Washington checked the rapper’s Instagram page, which indicated that Friday was his 25th birthday.

Police said Durr was involved in a shooting on 2070 Alison Court SW in May.
“I do know that this person was shot multiple times by (Durr),” Sgt. Salvador Ortega with the Sandy Springs police said.
Police had been searching for Durr for weeks.
Ortega said one of his officers was being checked out at the hospital for a head injury, but he is expected to be released from the hospital Friday night.
A Channel 2 Action News photographer captured the moment police took the suspect into custody.
