SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Authorities in California have arrested an Art Institute of Atlanta student wanted in the death of a man in Sandy Springs.

Patricko Mondrez Davis, 21, was taken into custody in Bakersfield Aug. 13 by the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Takeenen Williams was shot near the area known as the Hub in Sandy Springs on July 25.

Police said Williams and Davis had gotten into an argument, which led to the shooting. Williams was found wounded behind the hotel and police said witnesses reported that Davis ran away from the scene. Williams was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
