ATHENS, Ga. — An Athens woman who hasn’t been seen in almost three weeks has been found dead, according to police.
Adriana Castaneda, 38, was reported missing on March 7 after being last seen several days before on March 4.
Her family says she never returned home or showed up to work.
Police say a body found Thursday morning just before 10:45 a.m. has been identified as Castaneda.

Investigators say her body was found in the woods near Maple Forge Drive and Lavender Road, more than three miles from her Kathwood Drive home where she was last seen.
The wooded area is behind several neighborhoods and Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School.
Her cause of death has not been announced pending the results of an autopsy.
