Atlanta Braves have unveiled final traffic, parking plan

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Atlanta Braves have unveiled their final traffic and parking plan before fans make their way to the new Cobb County stadium.

Team officials are increasingly confident fans won't hit gridlock traffic conditions come opening day at SunTrust Park.

With 14 roadways headed toward the park, thousands of fans may need help navigating.

The final parking plan features all of the access routes to the stadium, a map of parking locations, information on pedestrian bridges, and alternative transit options such as Uber and MARTA.

The Braves resource also includes three tips for buying parking tickets in advanced.

Buying game tickets in advance is encouraged along with the use of WAZE traffic app and Uber rides to get you to the ballpark.

Braves officials say you'll still be able to walk up at the last minute and buy a ticket and find parking, hopefully. But, in 2017 it's better to plan ahead and go high tech.

You can use the new Braves App on your smart phone to help you navigate, buy tickets and find parking.

Cobb officials told Channel 2's Ross Cavitt that they believe their biggest tool in the battle against traffic are stoplights at about 70 intersections throughout SunTrust Park that can manipulate the flow of traffic.
