ATLANTA — The Atlanta Braves will be looking for a new home run celebration for the rest of the season.
The team confirmed to Channel 2′s Alison Mastrangelo that players have been told they can no longer wear the “Big Hat” that cameras and fans have spotted in the dugout.

More than Sports, a local sports memorabilia collector, tossed the hat to Braves’ Ozzie Albies and A.J. Minter during opening weekend.
The owner tweeted Tuesday night that New Era Cap Company reported the hat celebration to Major League Baseball. New Era is the official on-field cap partner of MLB.
Braves officials confirmed to Mastrangelo that the company did talk to the league, who then spoke to the team, and that is why fans haven’t seen it during games this week.
That includes Monday’s slugfest against the Marlins when the Braves hit five home runs that night.

The Braves’ Big Hat has become a social media hit for fans.
So far, Atlanta has hit a combined 38 home runs as of Tuesday night, which is third in the league behind the Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Dodgers.
What will Atlanta use to celebrate home runs now? It’s unclear, but fans will keep an eye out on the dugout.
