Detectives said the couple were about to park in the driveway of their home on Commercial Avenue after 1 a.m. when someone drove up and started shooting.

"We had a white four door sedan... shooting at least four times,” said Atlanta Police Captain F. Turner.

The bullets pierced the car and shattered the driver side window.

Police said the shooter was upset when he couldn't drive around the couple's car.

“Became upset with the victims because they blocked the roadway and unfortunately opened fire unprovoked,” Turner said.

Crime scene investigators showed up to take pictures and collected bags of evidence from the scene.

Turner said the couple had recently just moved into the neighborhood.

Anyone who may have seen or heard the shooting is asked to call the Atlanta police department.
