ATLANTA — The Atlanta Fire Department has released pictures of two new people they want to talk to about the Wendy’s arson.
Authorities said they may have “information vital to the investigation of the Wendy’s Restaurant fire.”
The restaurant was set on fire during protests the day after Rayshard Brooks’ shooting death in the parking lot of the fast food chain. Brooks was shot on June 12 by former Atlanta police officer Garrett Rolfe.
Rolfe is now facing murder charges, among others. He has since bonded out of jail.
Earlier this week, the fire department released a photo of a man they believe may also have information about the fire.
Authorities are asking if you have any information about any of these people to call Georgia Arson Control at 1-800-282-5804 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
Last week, police arrested 29-year-old Natalie White and charged her with first-degree arson for her alleged role in starting the fire. Police say White was caught on video using what appeared to be an aerosol can to spread the flames.
White was released from jail into house arrest on a $10,000 bond. She will wear an ankle monitor and has to stay off social media.
Her attorney, Drew Findling, said White did not start the fire.
“The obvious thing is that Natalie White did not start a fire,” Findling said. “That is just silly. This was a fully-engaged fire. You can see people that are throwing what looks like Molotov cocktails in long before she’s even involved.”
