ATLANTA — Police say that on Sunday, June 13, 2021, armed robbers shot a security guard at Lenox Square in Atlanta.
This robbery and shooting created a large response from Atlanta Police to the mall. Officers descended on the mall in search of the suspects.
Officers Mikael Ware, Tyquan Ross and Roosevelt Prime Jr. were in the group of responding officers.
These officers are responsible for actually finding the teen suspects.
The officers searched a nearby hotel parking structure and located the pair hiding in a storage room. The juvenile suspects were arrested without further incident.

The actions of these officers were recognized by the Atlanta Police Department.
The officers’ quick thinking possibly helped keep others out of harm’s way.
The identities of the teens have not been released because of their ages. The charges for the teens, according to police, are criminal attempt to commit murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18 years and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
