ATLANTA — The new superintendent for Atlanta Public Schools has shared her proposal for how the district could reopen this fall.
The school district will turn to an all-virtual learning model for the first nine weeks of school, according to a presentation shared by Dr. Lisa Herring.

Herring is also suggesting to delay the start of school by two weeks to Aug. 24. Students and staff will be required to wear masks inside school buildings when they return under the proposal.
Herring’s plan is listed under the agenda for a special board meeting for Monday.
