ATLANTA — Starbucks said it is doing its part to keep customers safe amid a coronavirus outbreak in the U.S. and world.

The Instagram account for the Ansley Mall location in Midtown Atlanta posted it will temporarily pause the use of reusable cups “in care of our customers and partners.”

The post said that in “addition to sanitizing procedures in all our stores, this is one more step we can take to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).”

Customers apparently approve the decision.

One comment to the Instagram post says, “Good call.”

Starbucks says it is “closely monitoring the dynamic situation of COVID-19, along with the rest of the world.”

Other stores are also pausing the use of personal cups and “for here” ware in stores.
