ATLANTA — The severe weather risk is over for metro Atlanta and north Georgia and heavy rain has finally moved out of the area.
Severe Weather Team 2 tracked showers and storms throughout the night and this morning as the system moved through.

Here’s what you should know for Monday:
- It will be a gusty day with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s most areas.
- A weak cold front moves through the area Tuesday with morning lows in 40s and 50s.
- The threat of severe weather returns Thursday and will bring more rain into Friday.

Heavy rain continues to fall across most of north Georgia along with the loud thunder and lightning... The extra loud thunder is a sign of stable air near the ground and that's what you want... that means a limited to no severe weather risk for us as this moves through!
