ATLANTA — Police are investigating a deadly shooting across the street from an Atlanta middle school.
Atlanta police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that one person was killed and another was injured in a shooting at 134 Howell Street.

The location is directly across the street from Howard Middle School near Boulevard and John Lewis Freedom Parkway.
Atlanta Public Schools said bus pick-up will move to the Randolph Street NE side of the school and parents should pick up their kids on the John Wesley Dobbs Ave. NE side.

Police said they have widened their crime scene and that impacts their dismissal.
According to APS, the exterior doors to Howard middle School were locked and no students or staff are being allowed outside while Atlanta Police conduct their investigation.
