ATLANTA — One person was shot and killed at the MARTA Arts Center station Sunday night and police are searching for the shooter.
According to a MARTA police spokesperson, at approximately 9 p.m., a MARTA protective specialist was on patrol when they heard gunshots coming from the bus loop.

MARTA police found a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
On Monday, the Fulton medical examiner identified the victim as 45-year-old Demarco Mathis.
MARTA police are searching for the suspect, but have not released a description.
