ATLANTA — Atlanta Fire Rescue’s swift water rescue team pulled a child to safety Friday evening in Northwest Atlanta.
Officials say the 10-year-old boy was sledding with some friends when his sled went over a steep embankment off of Northcliffe Road.

Crews used ropes and a basket to pull the child to safety after he injured his leg.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

The child is expected to be ok.
