11-year-old grazed by bullet at Atlanta gas station, police investigating

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that injured a child.

At approximately 8:22 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the Exxon gas station at 568 Chappell Road NW to reports of a person shot.

The 11-year-old victim was privately taken to a local hospital to have a graze wound treated.

Police said the victim was stable.

Investigators responded to determine the circumstances around the shooting.

Their investigation continues.
