ATLANTA — A boy has been charged with murder and a slew of other charges after police said he shot and killed a 9-year-old boy.

Kemoni Mack was shot at The Station at Richmond Hill Wednesday night. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Earlier this week, Atlanta police said a 16-year-old boy, who hasn’t been identified because of his age, was the shooter and that they were considering charges.

On Sunday, police said investigators were able to establish probable cause to arrest the 16-year-old old on murder in the second-degree, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, cruelty to children in the second-degree and possession of a handgun by a person under 18.
The teen turned himself in to authorities and was taken to a youth detention center.
Police have not said if the shooter and the victim were related.
