2 arrested after police find pounds of marijuana, thousands in cash and guns at Atlanta home

ATLANTA — Atlanta Police said two people were arrested after a drug raid at a home turned up thousands of dollars in cash, pounds of marijuana and several guns.

Police said they learned of illegal drug activity at a home on Warren Street and obtained a search warrant for the location.

On Feb. 22, they raided the home and found the following:

  • 11.32 lbs. of marijuana
  • 40.1 grams of cocaine 336 grams of THC Edibles
  • 28 Oxycodone pills
  • 44 Dextroamphetamine pills
  • 5 MDMA pills
  • 3 Percocet pills
  • $7,645 USD
  • Mossberg 590 12-gauge shotgun serial number 1V28935
  • Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm pistol serial number HLJ3404
  • FM Products 9mm pistol serial number 18189
  • Panther Arms A-15 .223 caliber rifle serial number FFH136649
  • 50 drum for .223 caliber rounds
  • 30 round magazine for 9mm rounds

David McCounly, 48, was charged with trafficking marijuana and cocaine as well as drug and gun possession. Marlis Hill, 37, was charged with obstruction and on a warrant for simple battery.
