21-year-old dies after getting shot leaving Atlanta club, police say

ATLANTA — A 21-year-old has died after she was shot in southwest Atlanta Tuesday morning, according to police.

Atlanta police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that a man and woman were leaving a club early Tuesday morning when the woman was shot.

Police said the shooting happened shortly after 3:20 a.m.

Channel 2′s Steve Gehlbach was on the scene early Tuesday morning near the intersection of Pryor Street and Fulton Street in southwest Atlanta.

The man and woman then drove on the Downtown Connector near the Memorial Street Overpass.

Police said the woman shot was in the passenger seat.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 21-year-old Camryn Price of Lancaster, South Carolina.

A man in the driver’s seat was also shot and suffered minor injuries from glass and shrapnel.

Police did not release any information about the alleged shooter.
