ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating three deadly shootings in the city within two hours of each other.
Two of the shootings happened in southwest Atlanta and one in southeast Atlanta. Investigators said they believe arguments led to the murders and they said that appears to be the theme with many homicides in the city – people settling their differences with guns.
The three killers are still roaming the streets Tuesday.
The shootings began Monday night around 8 p.m. and didn’t stop.

The first happened at a gated apartment complex on Fulton Street in southwest Atlanta. Family and friends were upset after police found a man shot several times.
“He was inside the stairwell of the building,” said Atlanta Police Lt. Daniel Genson. “We’re vetting the information that we do have.”
About 15 minutes later and several miles away, officers showed up on White Oak Street after reports of gunfire near a house. Investigators said they found a man dead. Witness told authorities they heard a couple of people arguments before the gunshots.
One hour earlier, in southeast Atlanta on New Town Circle, officers found a 40-year-old man shot in the parking lot.

“He had succumbed from multiple gunshots wounds. Right now we’re at the early stages of our investigation to determine exactly the circumstances leading up to the shooting,” Genson said.
Police said there are no arrests or description of the shooters. Authorities said the shootings are not connected.

“The shooting on Newtown Circle, and also this shooting from Fulton Street, they don’t appear to be connected nor can they be connected with White Oak,” Genson said.
Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims in the shootings.
