ATLANTA — A single-vehicle crash in southwest Atlanta claimed the life of a 40-year-old man, according to Atlanta Police Department.

Atlanta officers responded to the crash around 11:46 p.m. on Lee Street and Tucker Avenue.
When officers arrived, they reportedly found the vehicle off the roadway.
According to officials, the driver was entrapped inside the vehicle, not alert, conscious, or breathing.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Atlanta investigators said the vehicle left the highway at rapid speed before hitting a large concrete pillar that supports MARTA tracks.
The investigation is ongoing.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
