5 men shot at southwest Atlanta apartment complex

ATLANTA — Police say five men were shot at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex Monday night.

Police responded to reports of a person shot on Oakland Lane around 10:30 p.m.

When officers got there, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head on the stairs. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police learned four other gunshot victims drove themselves to local hospitals. Three of those victims had been shot twice and one victim had one gunshot wound. Three of the victims had gunshot wounds to the buttocks, two to the back and one to the leg.

Police are working to get footage from security cameras on the property.

Police are still investigating to determine who fired the shots.
