A video making rounds on social media shows a large crowd blocking a busy metro street while cars do dangerous tricks.
In the video, drivers can be seen doing donuts in the middle of the street and someone even setting off what appeared to be fireworks.
It happened this weekend near the Varsity off Spring Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue.
Those who work and live in the area told Channel 2′s Audrey Washington they are getting frustrated over the out-of-control crowds.
“I just saw a lot of people driving crazy, like they didn’t have any sense," said Robert Haynes.
Haynes lives nearby and saw the commotion. He told Washington at least once a month drivers line up at the intersection to show off their fast cars.
“They’re just everywhere," he said. “And acting real reckless.”

Washington reached out to Atlanta police about the video.
In an emailed statement, police said they are aware of the gatherings at the intersection but every time they have responded the crowds have dispersed.
Still, Haynes said he wants more officers at the intersection before the crowds even arrive.
“I think they really have to crack down and think about things that are going on,” he said.
Atlanta police said they did not get any reports of injuries from this weekend’s gathering.
