ATLANTA — There will soon be more affordable housing in southwest Atlanta.

Mayor Andre Dickens helped break ground on the Briarwood development Wednesday afternoon. It will include affordable housing and also a medical office building and space for shops.
The goal is to bring affordable homeownership to southwest Atlanta.

“That’s why I am so pleased to break ground on developments that will offer affordable housing. Workforce housing. And ownership opportunities to more of our residents” Mayor Dickens said.
He says access to home ownership is part of the American dream.
