ATLANTA — Two people were killed and another person was injured in a wrong-way crash Sunday morning in downtown Atlanta.
The crash happened on I-75 and I-85 northbound at University Avenue around 7 a.m. Triple Team Traffic watched as the lanes were shut down for hours while Atlanta police investigated.
The preliminary investigation said a red Dodger Charger was traveling in the wrong direction on I-75/I-85 northbound. The car hit a gray Ford F-150 truck.
Both drivers were killed in the crash and a truck passenger was taken to Grady Hospital in critical condition.
A Channel 2 Action News viewer sent us dramatic video that showed the Charger collide with the truck. The viewer pulled over and called 911.
