ATLANTA — Eight metro Atlanta high school seniors got a surprise bigger than their Amazon cart!

On Tuesday, Amazon surprised eight students with more than $300,000 in scholarships and internships.
Each senior will receive $40,000 to help foster their aspirations in creating a stem-related career at a college of their choice and a paid internship with Amazon.

The scholarships are part of Amazon’s Future Engineer program. The program has awarded $38 million in scholarships to 950 students from underserved and underrepresented communities across the U.S.
The seniors represent Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton County Public Schools, and the DeKalb County School District.
