ATLANTA — A man wanted for shooting a woman in the leg has not been caught hours after a standoff in southwest Atlanta.
Channel 2′s Candace McCowan reported from the SWAT scene live on WSB Tonight at 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Police responded to 1939 Shepherd Circle around 6:12 p.m. after getting a call about a person shot.
They found a woman shot in the leg. She went to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators say she was shot by her boyfriend who was still inside the home.

Police blocked off part of the neighborhood for hours. Doorbell camera video shared with McCowan showed SWAT team officers running through a yard.
The standoff ended overnight. Police told Channel 2 that the man was not inside the house and they are still looking for him.
Police were able to find the suspect’s gun in the house.
No description of the shooter has been released.
