ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a crash in west Atlanta after two people were killed and four were hospitalized.
According to police, on Saturday around 2:00 p.m., officers arrived at a crash on James Parkway at Browntown Road.

APD told Channel 2 Action News a Toyota Sequoia was traveling north on James Jackson Parkway, attempting to pass a Honda Accord when it struck the side of the Honda. This caused the Sequoia to lose control and enter into the southbound lanes.
The Sequoia then hit a Toyota Rav4. The driver and passenger in the Sequoia were both ejected. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver was transported to a nearby hospital. Three additional occupants from the Sequoia were also transported to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the Rav4 was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Accord was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
