Atlanta-based Delta Airlines celebrates most traveled customer

ATLANTA — Atlanta-based Delta Airlines recently celebrated its most traveled customer, who has traveled millions of miles on the airline.

A customer, who the airline identified as Todd. O, has traveled 14,000,000 miles.

He officially reached this milestone on a March 6 flight from Zurich, Switzerland to New York, which happened to be on his birthday.

He was surprised with a custom birthday cake from the flight attendants, who wished him both a happy birthday and congratulations on becoming the first Delta passenger to reach 14 million miles.

When his plane landed at JFK, Delta officials were ready to celebrate there, too. He was whisked through customs by Delta’s Elite Services, then brought to the Delta Sky Club where he was greeted with more birthday wishes, congratulations and appreciation.

Upon receiving the recognition, Todd said he would call the feat more of a milestone than an accomplishment.

“The only thing I do is sit in a seat!” he said.

Todd said he always prefers sitting in the window seat.

“I love seeing the world from above,” he said.
