ATLANTA — The Atlanta Botanical Garden will reopen this week but with some changes to help keep visitors safe.

The popular Midtown attraction will open its doors to members only May 18-22 ahead of the general public on May 23. The gardens will also have extended summer hours 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Mondays set aside for members only.

Like Zoo Atlanta, the Atlanta Botanical Garden has switched to a timed ticketing system to limit the number of guests. The garden will allow a limited number of guests in every 15 minutes.

Timed tickets for the general public will be available beginning Thursday, May 21. All guests must reserve tickets on the garden’s website here.

GEORGIA REOPENING:

Most of the outdoor spaces will be open: Canopy Walk, Earth Goddess, Storza Woods, Parterre, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Edible Garden, Great Lawn and Skyline Garden. The garden will mark several paths one-way only for safety.

The Lou Glenn Children's Garden will remain closed along with indoor areas such as the Fuqua Conservatory and Orchid Center, Longleaf restaurant dining room and gift shop.

Atlanta Botanical Garden says all their staff and volunteers will wear masks. Guests are strongly encouraged to wear masks or face coverings and they will be required inside restrooms.

Guests are also asked to follow social distancing guidelines and stay six feet apart. Most paths will be designated one-way. The garden will not offer wheelchairs or motorized scooters at this time.
