ATLANTA — Atlanta city leaders are demanding MARTA show them how it is using new tax revenues.
The City Council on Monday approved the resolution, requesting a complete financial audit.
It says the city finance department should perform the audit, not MARTA itself.

The council is giving them one week to respond.
The council president says transparency is needed for the “More MARTA” sales tax.
MARTA responded today calling the audit a stall tactic to delay work for political reasons.
