AFRD is looking to fill several vacancies and wants women to realize they can do the job.
They’re holding a “Ladies Night Out” where women can see what it takes to be in this type of public service.
AFRD doesn’t get as many women applicants as men, so the department hopes this interactive job fair helps. Future firefighters can take the physical agility test on the spot.
Even if you’re not in the best physical shape, AFRD encourages you to see where you’re at and what you need to work on to join the team.
You have to register by Thursday, Dec. 12.
“Ladies Night Out will be held at the Atlanta Fire Rescue Training Center at 5155 Clipper Drive in Atlanta.
The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
