ATLANTA — It’s the season of giving, and the Atlanta Hawks and Georgia’s Own Credit Union have partnered to give some elementary students the gift of sight!

On Friday, the organizations teamed up with Vision to Learn, a national initiative, and held a “Season of Giving” celebration.
During the celebration, almost 60 students at Dunbar Elementary School in southwest Atlanta received eyeglasses, free eye exams and vision screenings.

The students were called individually to the stage to receive their prescription eyeglasses.
The event is part of a larger collaboration between both organizations that will see 5,000 students across metro Atlanta provided with eyeglasses during the Hawks’ 2022-23 regular season.
