ATLANTA — The Atlanta Jazz Festival says it has partnered with Quincy Jones’ TV network to stream performances at this weekend’s festival.
With COVID-19 cases surging throughout the state, the festival said it will stream all the main stage performances for this year’s festival.

“So, people who don’t want to come to the festival can actually catch the acts that are going to be on the main stage at no cost to them,” said Camille Russell Love, executive director of the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
The city said Qwest TV will offer fans one month of free access to its platform beginning September 4 with code “atlantajazz” on qwest.tv/atlantajazz.

Qwest TV will also share interviews and other content focusing on the festival’s artists and their music lineages and visions. Artists featured on the broadcast will include:

The festival, which usually happens over the Memorial Day weekend, was canceled last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
With restrictions being lifted across metro Atlanta, organizers announced that this year’s festival will happen over the Labor Day weekend — Sunday, Sept. 5 and Monday, Sept. 6, 2021.
The Atlanta Jazz Festival is the longest-running free jazz festival in the country.
The festival said it will follow all COVID-19 guidelines in effect for Georgia and the City of Atlanta on the date of the festival.
It said that updates on all COVID-19 guidelines will be announced on the Atlanta Jazz Festival website and social media channels.
