ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department says they’re investigating an aggravated assault after a woman’s head was grazed by a bullet early Thursday morning.
According to police, they responded to a report of shots fired on Eleanor Terrace NW. When they got to the scene, they met with a woman who had a graze wound to the head.
Officers canvassed the area where the woman was struck and found a bullet defect and multiple shell casings outside the home, APD said.
The preliminary investigation into the incident showed the shots looked to have been fired from outside of the home.
The suspect involved, who was not identified, drove away, police said.
The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injury and police say they are still investigating.
