ATLANTA — Atlanta police said an officer was injured in a crash in northwest Atlanta Thursday afternoon.
NewsChopper 2 was over the scene in the area of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and Eugenia Place, where a car was crashed into a fence.

The car appeared to have flashing blue lights inside.

Atlanta police said one of their officers sustained a knee injury and was taken to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Police confirmed that there were additional people hurt in the accident, but did not say what those injuries were.

Police have not identified the officer or said how the accident happened.
