ATLANTA — Atlanta police are releasing surveillance video of a chase that ended with the arrest of two suspects seen trying to break into cars.
Officers say they saw two men trying to break into parked cars on Greenbriar Pkwy. After being spotted, the men drove away, but their SUV was later seen on Oak St.

Police tried to pull over the suspects’ SUV, but they again sped away.
The video released Thursday shows the suspects speeding away from police and driving recklessly through the streets of southwest Atlanta, all while being followed by a police helicopter.

During the chase, which happened last week, the two suspects got out of the SUV in a nearby neighborhood. The helicopter follows the driver through the woods and points officers to his location.
Body camera footage shows officers find the driver hiding in a shed in the neighborhood and arrest him.

Police say the passenger was also arrested, but his arrest is not shown in the video.
Both men are being held in the Fulton County Jail.
