ATLANTA — Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the world’s busiest airport for the second year in a row, serving 62.7 million travelers in 2024.
It also held the top spot in 2023 and 2019.
Airline capacity was up 2% in 2024 over 2023 but was below 2019 levels by 1%, according to data from OAG.

The second busiest airport in the world is Dubai International Airport, which served 60.2 million travelers in 2024.
Tokyo’s Haneda Airport came in third place with 55.2 million travelers.
London’s Heathrow Airport held fourth place with 51.55 million travelers.
And Dallas Fort Worth International Airport was just under that in fifth place with 51.51 million travelers.
