ATLANTA — Music superstar Beyoncé honored Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo during a concert Monday night at the Georgia Dome.
During one of her performances, she danced to Shawty Lo’s hit ‘Dey Know’. The crowd immediately cheered and danced along to the song.
People on social media praised Beyoncé for the “classy” show of respect for the hometown rapper.
Tamiko Hope, who recorded the video, said she used to do PR for Shawty Lo so the moment was extra special for her.
The rapper died on Sept. 21 when he crashed his 2016 Audi on Interstate 285 in south Fulton County.
The police department says the 40-year-old was ejected and died at the scene. Two women in the car were injured.
