Body found in northeast Atlanta hotel room, authorities say

ATLANTA — A man was found dead in a hotel room in northeast Atlanta.

Atlanta police said on Friday at 10:46 a.m., officers received reports of a person down at the Cheshire Motor Inn on Cheshire Bridge Road NE.

When authorities arrived, they found a 54-year-old man in a hotel room who was not alert, conscious and breathing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s identity has not been released.

No further information was provided.

Homicide detectives are continuing the investigation.
