ATLANTA — Braves star Ronald Acuña Jr. left Saturday’s game against the Marlins after suffering what appeared to be a right knee injury.
The Braves later shared on social media that Acuña had a complete tear of his right ACL. Acuña will have to undergo surgery for the season-ending injury.

Acuña was jumping for a fly ball in the bottom of the fifth at LoanDepot Park in Miami when he landed awkwardly near the warning track.
Acuña crumbled to the ground and grabbed his knee. The outfielder managed to limp towards the dugout, but collapsed again.

Acuña’s teammates surrounded him as trainers rushed to his aid.
Trainers loaded Acuña onto the cart and took him off the field, where they then carried him into a tunnel.
