Braves World Series champ Austin Riley, wife announce pregnancy

ATLANTA — Braves third baseman and World Series champ Austin Riley might not have won the National League MVP, but he might soon get the title of World’s Best Dad.

Riley and his wife, Anna, announced on Instagram on Friday that the couple is expecting their first child.

Baby Riley is due to join Braves country in May 2022.

ln his Instagram post, Riley joked that he’ll have a new hunting buddy next year.

The 24-year-old was drafted by the Braves in the first round of the 2015 MLB Draft, but made his major league debut in 2019.

The couple hasn’t speculated on any possible names just yet, but might we suggest Freddie? Or maybe Dansby or Jorge? Hank or Dale?
