ATLANTA — A SWAT standoff that began with a 911 call around 7 a.m. has ended.
Police say they were called to a home off of Delmar Lane in connection to a burglary. When they arrived, the suspects barricaded themselves inside.

Channel 2′s Audrey Washington was in the neighborhood and says the standoff ended nearly eight hours later just before 2:30 p.m.
Witnesses told Washington they saw eight people, seven men and one woman, come out of the house.

Atlanta police said the home off Delmar was under construction. When officers arrived, one of the men tried to leave the home but went back inside. Officers said they issued commands for the group to leave the home.
SWAT units cleared the home and took seven people out peacefully. Police said those seven people have been detained.
No other details are available at this time and if the seven people have been charged.
