ATLANTA — Fans are not feeling a recent Instagram post by rapper, producer and songwriter Ceelo Green.
In the post, Green is seen wearing a hoodie with the Confederate flag emblem adorned on his clothing.

Green did not explain the reasoning for the post, but simply used the hashtags, ‘soul’ and ‘rebel’ to describe his wearing of the emblem.
The flag has a long history of being associated with racism, and white supremacy. Many fans expressed their distaste of the rapper’s choice of clothing.

In similar photos posted to his Instagram account, he is also seen wearing a Ralph Lauren Polo sweater with the American flag, along with a separate post of a flag with the colors red, black and green with stars.
